Our faoi 14 hurlers make the journey to the Tyrone GAA Centre at Garvaghey this evening (Tuesday 01/10/24) to take on Naomh Éanna An Ómaigh in the Grade 1 championship final. 

Our lads will be hoping to make it third time lucky after shipping two league defeats to the West Tír Eoghain boys earlier in the summer, the first a heavy 5-08 to 0-07 loss in Omagh back in June and the latest a much closer 1-04 to 0-05 reversal at Páirc Chlochóg at the end of July. 

The St Enda's are unbeaten at this grade in 2024 having recently claimed the Grade 1 Tír Eoghain League title after a 2-10 to 0-05 victory over Eoghan Ruadh at Killyclogher in the league final and will present a tough challenge to the young Cilles.

The two teams had very different experiences in their respective championship semi-finals with the county town representatives breezing past the challenge of Éire Óg An Charraig Mhór following a 2-16 to 0-03 victory. 

NCC, on the other hand, had it all to do in their encounter against fellow East Tír Eoghain Gaels Eoghan Ruadh at Dungannon in a game that went to the wire and took extra time to decide with the Black and Red eventually coming out on the right side of a 1-18 to 3-11 result after a riveting encounter.

Omagh will go into the game as favourites on the back of their winning streak but the young Cilles travel with ambitions of their own and will do all they can to win back a trophy last claimed by the Black and Red in 2006!

Take a run up to Garvaghey this evening to lend your voice to the Cilles’ challenge with the game throwing in at 7:30pm.
